IIM Kozhikode recently concluded\u00a0the\u00a052nd Annual Conference of The Indian Econometric Society (TIES)<\/strong>\u00a0organized in its Kozhikode campus from\u00a04 to 6 January, 2016.\u00a0TIES Conference is a major annual academic event in India which brings together economists and econometricians to deliberate, collaborate and share their research findings.\u00a0Prof. Pami Dua, Director, Delhi School of Economics<\/b>\u00a0delivered the Presidential address in the inaugural session on 4th<\/sup>\u00a0January.\u00a0Prof. Roy Batchelor, Cass Business School, London<\/b>\u00a0delivered the inaugural address.<\/p>\n

Some of the prominent speakers in the conference were\u00a0Prof B. B. Bhattacharya, former Vice Chancellor of JNU who delivered the valedictory address and Prof Subhash Ray, University of Connecticut and so on<\/b>.\"IMG_0285\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Mahalanobis Memorial Medal Awards<\/em>\u00a0for 2014 and\u00a0Prof. MJ Manohar Rao Awards<\/em>\u00a0for 2014 and 2015 were presented to awardees and around 300 research scholars and academics presented their papers at this prestigious academic platform.\"IMG_0244\"<\/a><\/p>\n

\u00b7 Around 250 technical papers presented in 42 technical sessions<\/p>\n
